Harare residents have expressed anger at the Harare City Council’s failure to clear refuse from busy places in the central business district (CBD).

Service delivery in the capital—which has been dubbed the Sunshine City—has deteriorated over the years, and council claims that the waste in the CBD is being generated at a much faster rate than the ability of the authorities to ensure a clean environment.
