Doubt lingers over government’s capacity to sustain Chinese health upgrades

The charge sheet against Chinese investors is long. But, once in a while, Chinese investors also make positive investments. When Covid-19 hit Zimbabwe in early 2000, the public health system was in shambles and Chinese investors donated USD500 000 for the refurbishment of Wilkins Hospital. This was the first isolation center, but will the government be able to maintain it now?
